Richard Lee “Rick” Myers, 56, of Ironton, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Ironton, Ohio. The Ironton, Ohio, native was born June 29, 1956, the son of Glenna Delawder Myers of Waterloo, Ohio, and the late Kenneth Nelson Myers.

Rick was a 1974 graduate of Symmes Valley High School and also graduated from the Southern Ohio Manpower and Technical School in Jackson, Ohio. He was an auto body repairman for over 36 years and formerly worked for Schafer Brother’s Body Shop and Mart Howard’s Body Shop both in Ironton and more recently for Bowman’s Body Shop in Flatwoods, Ky. He was a member of the Waterloo United Methodist Church.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister Debbie Myers.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Heather Myers of Coal Grove, Ohio, and Jessica Myers of Ironton, Ohio; four grandchildren, Shayden, Jesse, Nelson Lee and Clint; his companion, Millie Hall of Ironton; his chosen sister, Beth Walbright and her husband, Greg, of Ironton; his good friend, Mike Miller of Ironton, Ohio

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, September 27, 2012, at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South 7th Street, Ironton, Ohio, with Rev. Don Delawder officiating. Burial will follow in Slabfork Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
