Quellie Varney Esposito, 87, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Jenkins Memorial Healthcare Facility, Wellston, Ohio. She was born the second of thirteen children on February 8, 1925, in Pike County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Roy and Omey Ward Varney. She married Salvatore Esposito December 26, 1942, and they moved to New York City. She worked for Western Electric in New Jersey until retirement, and lived most of her life in New Jersey.

Quellie is survived by son, James (Bette) Esposito, Kinneton, New Jersey; daughter, Constance (John) Contino; two grandchildren, Deborah and Christine; four great-grandchildren, Tyler, Brooke, Danny and Jennifer; three brothers, Robert (Violet)Varney, Verlin (Joyce) Varney and Hazert (Loneda) Varney; two sisters, Lurlie (Arthur) Varney Resso and Celia Varney; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Rosco, Floyd and Lee, and four sisters, Roma Hewlett, Vicie Varney, Creasid Hewlett and Naomi Blackburn.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, January 11, 2013, at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, Ohio, with Evangelist Patrick Gamp officiating. Burial will follow in Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home two hours prior to the service on Friday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
