He was born Sept. 27, 1982, in Gallipolis, son of Alvin Ray and Sheila Faye Blanton Yester. A self-employed light construction worker, he was a 2000 graduate of Gallia Academy High School.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons, Dakota and Bishop Yester, Gallipolis; the mother of his children, Amanda Smith; brother, Tony Yester, Flat Rock, W.Va.; paternal grandmother, Thelma Yester, Gallipolis Ferry, W.Va.; maternal grandparents, Erskine and Joyce Blanton, Vinton; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins
Josh was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Albert Yester.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, 420 First Avenue, Gallipolis, with Rev. Dale Geiser officiating. Burial will follow at Jordan Baptist Church Cemetery, Gallipolis Ferry. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
