Dairl C. May, 80, Bidwell, Ohio, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012, in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis. He was born June 28, 1932, in Pike County, Kentucky, son of the late Clarence and Martha Fields May. Dairl was a retired welder and pipefitter.

He married Gayrene Hunt on June 14, 1950, at Williamson, West Virginia, and she survives with six sons and two daughters, Clearance (Chris) May, Bellville, Michigan; Lawrence May, Roseville, Ohio; Terry (Kelli) May, Bidwell, Ohio; Jerry (Vicki) May, Roseville, Ohio; Dairl May, Jr., Vinton County, Ohio; Dennis (Cindy) May, Carmel, Indiana; Patricia (Jim) Lydic, Zanesville, Ohio, and Marie May, Newell, West Virginia. Also surviving are nineteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by one daughter, Darlene Rollins, one brother and five sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton. Burial will follow in the Hunt Family Cemetery near Bidwell. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday.
