Augusta Jane Malone, 89, of Gallipolis, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 10, 2012, at the Holzer Senior Care Center.
She was born June 13, 1922, in Gallia County, Ohio, daughter of the late Curtis and Pearl Saunders. Jane was married to Jess C. Malone and he preceded her in death on December 12, 1985. She was a Gallia Academy High School graduate. Jane was employed at Timken Roller Bearing in Columbus, Ohio, during the war effort of WWII. She also provided loving area daycare for many area children. She attended Rodney United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening and traveling.
Surviving are her daughters, Patricia (James) Boster of Gallipolis and Marcia (Richard) Wepsic of Newburg, Indiana; three grandchildren, James “Nick” (Alda) Boster of Arlington, Tennessee, Kelly (Cyle) Graber of Newburg, Indiana, and Casey Wepsic of Indianapolis, Indiana; two great grandsons, Jayme Rumley of Gallipolis and David Boster of Arlington, Tennessee; a special friend and caregiver, Jean Halley of Gallipolis.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jess C. Malone; a brother, Arthur Warden “Bob” Saunders; a sister, Margaret Gooch; and a granddaughter, Wendy Boster, in infancy.
Services will be held at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-7:30 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be on Friday, June 15, 2012, at the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens.
