RAVENSWOOD, W.Va. — The Point Pleasant golf team finished fourth Thursday night in a five-team match at Green Hills Country Club in Jackson County.

Ritchie County won the match with a 172, followed by Williamstown with a 178 and Ravenswood with a 183. PPHS was fourth with a 191, while Ripley rounded out the field with a 202.

The Rebels were led by Ben Knight with a 42, followed by Jon Harkness and Sydney Brill with 43s. Riley Allen marked a 44 to round out the RCHS total, while Austin Garrett (51) did not effect the team total.

The Yellow Jackets were led by Mac McCormick with a 42 and Chandler Weber with a 43. Ty Adkins marked a 44 and Dalton Smith posted a 49 to round out the WHS total.

Match medalist Alex Easthom led the Red Devils with a 39, followed by Jon Wadkins with a 40 and Carson Fox with a 50. Chris Easthom rounded out the Ravenswood scoring with a 54, while PJ Click (55) played but did not effect the team total.

Kelsey Allbright paced PPHS with a 44, followed by Matthew Martin with a 45 and Bryce Tayengco with a 49. Rhett Lanier’s 53 capped off the Point Pleasant scoring, while Hunter Holcomb (63) and Trace Derenberger (67) also played for the Black Knights.

The Vikings were led by Wes Withrow’s 46 and Justin McKown’s 48. Derek Hill posted a 53, and Elijah Riffe rounded out the Ripley total with a 55. Lucas Blankenship (72) played in a non-counting effort for the Blue and White.

The Black Knights will return to action on Monday when they host Winfield.
