RAVENSWOOD, W.Va. — The Golden Eagles roll to another win.
The Belpre golf team took a 38-stroke victory in a Tri-Valley Conference Hocking Division tri-match, Wednesday night at Green Hill Country Club in Jackson County.
The Orange and Black shot a 162, followed by the second place Tornadoes at 200 and third place Wahama at 235.
BHS was led by medalist Sam Petty, who shot a 38, and Alex Perry, who shot a 39. Jackie Cunningham marked a 42, while Logan Plummer and Alana DeLancey both posted 43, but only one of which counted toward the team total. Brice Ferrell fired a 44 in a non-counting effort for Belpre.
Southern was led by Jacob Hoback with a 47 and Ryan Schenkelberg with a 49, followed by Jonah Hoback with a 51 and Tanner Roush with a 53. Tanner Thorla (59), Ashley Acree (61) and Eli Hunter (66) also played but did not effect the Tornado total.
Nathaniel Redman led the White Falcons with a 46, followed by Mason Hicks with a 48. Bekah Groves fired a 69 and Logan Bissell marked a 72 to round out the WHS total.
The Purple and Gold will return to the course on Monday at South Gallia, while Wahama will host SGHS and Eastern on Tuesday.
