Over 100 runners and walkers gathered on the riverbank in Manchester on Aug. 2, all for a good cause. They were there to participate in the “This Run’s for Sam” 5K Run/Walk, held as a part of the village’s River Days celebration. The race was organized to benefit Manchester resident Samantha Boling and her family as they continue Samantha’s brave battle against Cystic Fibrosis.
Samantha is still in urgent need of a double lung transplant, ” new breathers” as the brave young lady refers to them, and she and her parents continue to wait for the call to come that will send them off to Cleveland for the operation.
