The Eastern girls basketball team clinched the program’s 10th Tri-Valley Conference girls basketball championship in school history Thursday night with a 75-44 victory at Waterford. The Lady Eagles became the first team not named Waterford to win an outright TVC Hocking crown since Trimble went unbeaten in league play during the 2003-04 campaign. The title also represents the third in the last four years for EHS, who shared the 2011 and 2013 crowns with the Lady Wildcats. Pictured above are members of the 2013-14 Eastern varsity basketball team. Sitting in front, from left, are Katie Keller, Jordan Parker, Jenna Burdette, Erin Swatzel and Maddie Rigsby. Standing in back are manager Hannah Hawley, Jordan Griffin, Hannah Bailey, Alia Hayes, Laura Pullins, Hannah Barringer, Lindsay Hupp and Morgan Barringer. Complete details of the Eastern-Waterford contest will be available in the weekend sports editions of the Point Pleasant Register and the Sunday Times-Sentinel. (Bryan Walters/file photo)
