RIO GRANDE — Buckeye Hills Career Center once again hosted the annual Ohio Valley Expo this past weekend, opening its campus to the hundreds of visitors who flock to the expo each spring.

This year, the expo again featured various activities, including business/industry exhibits, vendor displays, a craft show, health care checks, games for children and food sales.

Local musician performances are also a huge hit among those who attend the event each year.

No stranger to the Ohio Valley Expo, local bluegrass band Open Rail performed on Saturday afternoon, along with Summer Shade and Corey Hager and Friends. On Sunday, His Atonement hit the stage, along with The Gospel Strings and Jeff Seitz.

Another popular event, “Running through the Hills,” a 5K run and a 10K run — and one-mile Fun Run for children 10 and under — took place on Sunday.

In addition, secondary and post-secondary career-technical program could be visited by those in attendance over the weekend. The student-constructed modular home was also on display and is slated to be auctioned in May.
