GREEN TWP — Two teenagers were transported for medical treatment following a Friday evening crash on Northup Road in Green Township. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP), the crash happened on Northup Road (county road 22) at approximately 6:25 p.m. Friday nearly three-fourths of a mile from the junction of Ohio 775 and involved one vehicle. According to the OSHP report, the blue 1995 Ford F-150, occupied by two 16-year-old females, was traveling eastbound Northup Road when the driver drove off the right side of the road striking a ditch and then overturning the vehicle. The driver and passenger were both transported to Holzer Medical Center. Their injuries were listed as non-incapacitating according to the OSHP report. The OSHP and Gallia County EMS responded to the crash, as well as the District 11 Volunteer Fire Department. The Gallipolis Fire Department was unavailable because they had already been dispatched to a structure and car fire on Ohio 7 South, as reported in The Sunday Times-Sentinel. The names of the individuals transported from the crash have not yet been released.
