Over half of indictments included drug-related charges

A Highland County grand jury handed down 20 indictments Tuesday, most of which were drug-related, and of those, charges involving heroin were the most prevalent.


Those indicted as well as charges levied are as follows:


‪‪•‬ ‬Eldon Lamb, 26, no address, charged with extortion, a third-degree felony;


‪‪ •‬ ‬James Simmons Jr., 34, of Hillsboro, charged with possession of heroin, and aggravated possession of methamphetamine, both fifth-degree felonies;


‪‪•‬ ‬Tanga Pitzer, 22, of Hillsboro, charged with possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony;


‪‪•‬ ‬Howard Pleasure, 23, of Hillsboro, charged with burglary, a second-degree felony;


‪‪•‬ ‬Bennie C. Mullins, 62, of Hillsboro, charged with trafficking in heroin, a fifth-degree felony; possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony; and a forfeiture specification;


‪‪•‬ ‬Barbara Collett, 40, of Hillsboro, charged with theft by deception, a fourth-degree felony;


‪‪•‬ ‬Aaron Stephens, no address, charged with possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony;


‪‪•‬ ‬James E. Fite, 58, of Hillsboro, charged with aggravated possession of methamphetamine, a fifth-degree felony;


‪‪•‬ ‬Jesse Henderson, 23, of Hillsboro, charged with trafficking of heroin in the vicinity of a school, a first-degree felony; possession of heroin, a second-degree felony; aggravated possession of methamphetamine, a fifth-degree felony; and a forfeiture specification;


‪‪•‬ ‬Jamal Hopkins, 45, of Fairborn, charged with 12 counts of forgery, a fifth-degree felony; and a forfeiture specification;


‪‪•‬ ‬Christopher Pence, 19, of Hillsboro, charged with trafficking in heroin, a fifth-degree felony; possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony; having weapons while under disability, a third-degree felony; and a forfeiture specification;


‪‪•‬ ‬Kassie L. Brigner, 18, of Greenfield, charged with possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony;


‪‪•‬ ‬Katrina Hanes, 27, of Hillsboro, charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking of methamphetamine in the vicinity of a juvenile, third-degree felonies; and two counts of aggravated possession of methamphetamine, fifth-degree felonies;


‪‪•‬ ‬Robert W. Gibson, 47, of Hillsboro, charged with illegal manufacture of drugs, a second-degree felony; illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a third-degree felony; and escape, a first-degree misdemeanor;


‪‪•‬ ‬Shane Michael Rhoads, 27, of Hillsboro, charged with illegal manufacture of drugs, a second-degree felony; and illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a third-degree felony;


‪‪•‬ ‬Branton Schrader, 23, of Greenfield, charged with two counts of burglary, a second-degree felony; grand theft, a third-degree felony; and theft, a first-degree misdemeanor;


‪‪•‬ ‬Natasha Dean Miller, 33, of Hillsboro, charged with endangering children, a third-degree felony;


‪‪•‬ ‬Jimmie Ray Crabtree, 32, of Hillsboro, charged with illegal manufacture of drugs in the vicinity of a juvenile, a first-degree felony; illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs in the vicinity of a juvenile, a second-degree felony; and endangering children, a third-degree felony;


‪‪•‬ ‬Barbara Yost, 51, of Hillsboro, charged with endangering children, a third-degree felony; and illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a third-degree felony;


‪‪•‬ ‬William Lee Oyer, Jr., 25, of Leesburg, charged with felonious assault, a first-degree felony.
