GREEN TWP — An unidentified male subject entered a local sandwich shop early Wednesday looking to leave with more than a full stomach.

Gallia County Sheriff Joe Browning reports that Gallia County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Subway restaurant, located at 1044 Jackson Pike in the Spring Valley Plaza area of Green Township, following a call to the Gallia County 9-1-1 Center at approximately 7:36 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2013.

Responding deputies described the suspect as a white male, approximately six feet tall, with a mustache. He was reportedly wearing black pants, a black hoodie and a brown Carhart jacket.

The suspect allegedly demanded money and indicated that he may use a firearm if the clerk did not comply. According to Browning, the assailant fled the restaurant with less than $100 in cash.

Sheriff’s Investigators ask that anyone with information regarding the robbery call the Sheriff’s Dispatcher at 740-446-1221.
