Nearly 100 sign up for Gallipolis Christmas Parade

GALLIPOLIS — This year’s Gallipolis Christmas Parade is set to be next Saturday’s main event.

The annual parade will start at 1 p.m. on Dec. 2, and will travel down Second Avenue of Gallipolis. While registration is closed at this time, nearly 100 participants have signed up to be a part of the parade. The theme for this year is “The Night Before Christmas” which was chosen by popular vote.

While participants have already been contacted about their arrangement directions, these local businesses, community organizations, and groups will be in the parade for those planning to attend:

Lining up along Spruce Street: VFW Post Honor Guard, American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, MGM Detachment #1180 Marine Corps League, South Gallia HS & River Valley HS Bands, South Gallia Cheerleaders, River Valley HS & Jr HS Cheerleaders, GC Starz, PALS Chrysalis Health, Gallia Meigs Performing Arts, Gallia County Girl Scouts, Girl Scout Troop 9356, Boy Scouts, Boy Scout Troop 200, Riverside Cloggers/Batons, Gallipolis Neighborhood Watch, GA “Blue Devil” Marching Band, Gallipolis Twirling Angels, Gallia Academy Middle School Cheerleaders, Gallia Academy High School Cheerleaders, Addison Freewill Baptist Church, Silver Bridge Bruisers Roller Derby, and Bitanga’s Martial Art Center.
