GALLIPOLIS — Katie Carpenter, of Gallipolis, will compete for the title of Miss Ohio Teen USA 2017 at Kuss Auditorium of Clark State Community College.
The 2017 Miss Ohio Teen USA competition is slated for the weekend in Springfield. The city will soon welcome over 100 young women representing every corner and major city in Ohio.
Katie is the daughter of David and Deanna Carpenter. She attends Gallia Academy High School. She is an active member in volleyball, basketball, tennis, cheerleading, 4-H, FFA, yearbook activities, Key Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and she attends Gallipolis Christian Church.
Katie is sponsored by Brown’s Nationwide Insurance in Gallipolis and Green Tire and Muffler of Bidwell.

The Miss Ohio Teen USA competition offers young women in the state of Ohio a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to advance their personal and professional goals. The Miss Ohio USA Teen USA and the Miss Ohio USA Pageant will be offering over $800,000 in college scholarships to be awarded to the winners, finalists and semi-finalists.”
The final competition, which will be held at the Kuss Auditorium of Clark State Community College on Nov. 12, consists of three proportional segments: evening gown, fitness/swimsuit and the final question. The winner will be named Miss Ohio Teen USA 2017 and will claim a title and prize list including travel, wardrobe, college scholarships and the honor to represent the state of Ohio in the next tier pageant, Miss Teen USA, scheduled to take place in the summer of 2017.
