Thomas and Janice Vance of Mason County brought their 1965 Oldsmobile 442 to the annual Gallipolis Car Show in the City Park last weekend. The Olds was purchased by Thomas’ father in 1965 and has been in the family ever since. After it was restored, Thomas and Janice have taken it all over the East Coast to car shows. The Olds has received numerous awards, including Antique Automobile Club’s 2002 Grand National Winner and Meadow Brook Hall Concours d’Elegance 2002. The 442 in the car’s name refers to a four barrel carburetor, four speed transmission, and dual exhaust.
