Task Force arrests three in Wayne Hills drug raid

Three people have been arrested in a drug raid at Wayne Hills in Portsmouth in which two small children were present.

Arrested were Melissa A. Stiltner, 37, of the Wayne Hills apartment, Brandi Cherelle Bellfo, 26, of Five Oaks in Dayton, Ohio, and Malcom D. Owens, 24, of Indian Run Dr., Dayton, Ohio. Stiltner, Bellfo, and Owens were charged with Trafficking in Heroin and Possession of Heroin, both felonies of the first degree. Stiltner is being held on $75,000 bond, while Bellfo and Owens are each being held on $125,000 bond

Portsmouth Police Chief Robert Ware and Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini said at around 6:40 p.m. Friday, the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force executed a narcotics-related search warrant at 2009 Thomas Ave., Apt. F, Portsmouth, Ohio in the Wayne Hills Apartment Complex.

Upon a search of the residence, task force officers and Portsmouth Police Department canine, “Dark,” reportedly seized approximately 70 grams of suspected Heroin, almost $1,400 cash, digital scales, and additional drug trafficking-related evidence.

During the search of the apartment, the canine which is assigned to the task force, alerted on a nursing pillow in a second floor bedroom of the apartment. Officers examined the interior of the pillow and found a plastic bag containing 55 grams of suspected heroin.

Two small children were present inside the apartment at the time of the search warrant execution.
