Meth seized following hotel room search

GALLIPOLIS — While no charges have been filed following a late-night search warrant executed by the Gallipolis Police Department on Tuesday evening, officers have reported that the investigation is ongoing.


Reportedly, a drug investigation led to Tuesday’s search warrant that occurred at a room at the Regency Inn, located at 151 Upper River Road in Gallipolis.


As a result of the search warrant, a small amount of methamphetamine product was seized by the police department. No active labs were discovered at the hotel, according to investigators.


No suspects’ names have been released in this case and no charges have been filed at this time as officers are continuing their investigation.


Additionally, officers also reported on Thursday that, as a result of their drug investigation, a car that had been seen in the area of the hotel was also stopped on Tuesday evening by police. Drug paraphernalia was located inside the vehicle, but no drugs were found and no charges have been filed, according to the police department.
